Help Our Non-Profit, Help4VetsPTSD, WIN a $100K Marketing Plan!
My name is Chris Sorrentino. I am a son, father, husband, retired military officer, combat veteran, disabled veteran, and licensed psychotherapist for over 20 years.
I retired from the Air Force in 2005 and own a private practice, Kansas City Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, specializing in the treatment of anxiety and depression. Veterans with PTSD are my priority and I treat them free of charge. My dream has been to open a non-profit to treat vets with PTSD in a residential setting using the latest, most effective, and proven techniques available. Hopefully, I will be able to successfully lead this organization and open many such facilities around the country, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
There is a wonderful advertizing firm here in KC by the name of Nicholson Kovac. I entered Help4VetsPTSD (my non-profit vision) in their nationwide contest earlier this year for an opportunity to win a $100,000 marketing plan for my non-profit organization. When I saw the email subject, “Congratulations! You're a Quarter Finalist!” yesterday, I nearly deleted it thinking it was more spam, but it was not!
I am proud to announce that Help-4-Vets with PTSD has been selected as one of 20 quarter finalists (see emails below for details) and we are now one step closer to making my dream a reality! However, I need your help, your friend’s help, and their friend’s help to pull this off. Here is the way it works (make sure you read everything, particularly the bits in bold - very important to our success):
1. Go to this link: http://www.lastplanstanding.com/view-the-contestants on the Nicholson Kovac website where you will see The Last Plan Standing 20 quarter finalist videos (all are about 1 minute each). Watch as many of these as you want (including ours – it should be at the top right - the screen says “Help-4-Vets.com, Join us in the Battle Against PTSD)”
2. Once you’ve seen as many videos as you want, scroll down and click on the “Vote Now” button on the yellow (gold) bar running across the screen). That should take you to YouTube.
3. You should now be on the Last Plan Standing page on YouTube where the 20 videos are located. Unfortunately, our video is slightly hidden at the bottom, so you will need to scroll down to view it.. Votes are counted by "Likes", so please do not view any other videos except Help-4-Vets. Once you have viewed our video, click on the “Like” button if you agree and close your browser. Again, votes are counted by “likes”, so you will not see any voting buttons. If you want to see the other videos again, please go back to the original webpage, http://www.lastplanstanding.com/view-the-contestants, not YouTube.
4. Voting is only open through March 20th, so vote now, vote often! The top-4 vote getters will be semi-finalists with a chance to pitch their plan to program execs, so, in a sense, this is a popularity contest up until that point.
There is some fierce competition and very good ideas, but everyone else is promoting a product (and themselves). I, on the other hand, am promoting a cause, a very good cause that, if successful, will change and possibly save the lives of hundreds, if not thousands of young (and not so young – think Viet Nam vets) men and women. To be honest, I have little to gain (personally) from this other than longer days, more headaches, and less gym time, but this is probably the most important thing I can do in a life already dedicated to public service, my legacy so to speak.
Please, help me make this dream come true by voting (viewing) as many times as you like, then forwarding this email with a recommendation to all of your friends to do the same. Let’s keep this cause rolling across the country, across the planet…anybody with a computer and internet access can vote. Help me get it to the men and women in our military services most of all, they are the ones who will benefit most from our non-profit, should it become a reality…only with your help!
If you want additional information, visit http://www.kccbt.com/Free-Services.html or http://www.help4vetsptsd.org/ where I will be adding information over the next several weeks.
Thank You, Bless You, Bless Our Troops and Vets, and Bless The United States of America!
Let’s go viral!
